Content Curator/Writer/Editor


Under the guidance of the Executive Director, the Content Curator will be responsible for collecting, editing and creating content for the quarterly newsletter.  This will involve acquiring marketing content from staff and the Marketing & Design Committee; connecting with volunteers, actors, directors and patrons to collect interviews, written stories, video and audio; and possibly creating and editing original content themselves.  This person will serve as reporter, writer and editor for the newsletter content.  The individual would be required to attend Master Arts Theatre productions (tickets provided at no cost) and do spot interviews with audience following performances.  It may also include assisting staff with website, social media and print marketing in association with the newsletter project.


PAY:  

     Independent Contractor - $1000 for completed project

          or

     Employee - $15/hour for an approximate 15 - 20 hours per month


REQUIRED SKILLS

     - Professional writing & editing experience preferred

     - Comfortable networking and communicating with people via email, text, phone and in person

           interviews

     - Desktop publishing experience preferred

     - Project management experience desirable

     - Able to work well with Master Arts staff

     - Self-directed and be able to work both remotely and in office with attendance at Master Arts

           events

     - Must be able to agree with the Master Arts Theatre Mission, Vision & Statement of Faith
